1. 什么是内卷
比如小编找到了份工作，在一个自媒体公司，每天也就是9点上班，中午发一篇文章，下午六点下班，回家休息，第二天轮询；
偶尔热点新闻和热门活动赛事，加推几篇好文章；一年以来 小编就这儿飘逸的过着；一切似乎是那么的平衡
后来有一天，公司对面开了三家自媒体公司，装修高大上，而且灯火通明到晚上10点，越来越多的客户开始跑一趟对比两家的服务，发现客户都陆陆续续跑对面了；
后来老板谈话小编，说公司运营需要调整，需要下班时间调整到晚上22：30；
因为这几个新的自媒体公司，小编的公司的平衡被打破，小编也被卷入了这神奇的风波。
小编觉得这就是一种内卷，你觉得呢？

What is involution? This term is getting so popular in China. The term “involution” was popularized by Clifford Geertz, an eminent cultural anthropologist who used it as a description of the agricultural process in which refinements of wet-rice cultivation led to more and more intricate labour use, without creating significant progress in other social sectors such as technology and politics. The use of the word has unexpectedly stepped out of the academic world and gained prominence among young people in China in recent years.
内卷是什么? 这个词在中国变得越来越流行。“内卷”一词是由著名的人类学家克利福德•格尔茨(Clifford Geertz)引入的，他用这一词来描述农业生产过程。在这个过程中，改良的湿米种植增加了所需的劳动力，而没有为政治等其他社会行业带来贡献。近年来这个词意外走出了学术界，引起了年轻人的关注。

At its root, it is a description of such a phenomenon: A highly homogeneous and competitive society without an alternative exit option. It is a race where everyone competes on the same track. Everyone want to work for Tencent or Tiktok. Everyone want to earn more money and buy a house in Bei(jing) Shang (hai) Guang (zhou) Shen (zhen). Everyone tries to squeeze in the same running track and compete against each other.
从根本上讲，该词是描述了一种社会现象——高度同质化的竞争，没有人可以选择退出。这是一场所有人都在同一条赛道上竞争的比赛：每个人都想为腾讯或抖音工作，每个人都想赚钱并在北上广深买房子，每个人都试图挤在和千军万马挤独木桥。

And there is no exit mechanism. It is a competition that you cannot simply say “ I do not want to compete with you on this track anymore. I just want to take a leisure walk on the nearby grass field.” In the current Chinese society, the problem is not the lack of “alternative tracks”, but the single social criterion and view of values to judge whether a person is ‘successful’ or not.
而这一切，没有撤退可言。你不能简单地说“我不想再在这个社会上竞争了，我只想在附近的草地上悠闲地散步。”在当今中国社会，问题不在于缺乏“可选择的路径”，而在于社会判断一个人是否“成功”的单一的标准和价值观。
